Greenia Introduction — Blockchain Hardware & Web3 Infrastructure
Concept-to-screen motion film for deep-tech hardware startup during early Web3 wave
Project Details
- Timeline: 2021 (Pre-AI boom / early Web3 adoption period)
- Role: Lead Motion Designer & Creative Director
- Team Size: Solo execution + 4 client stakeholders (CEO + 3 lead engineers)
- Sector: Blockchain hardware and IoT
Project steps
01
Discovery & Technical Alignment
Workshops with CEO and engineers to extract product vision, ecosystem structure, and key technical concepts that required simplification.
02
Narrative & Script Development
Wrote the complete end-to-end script, structuring the flow around
problem → vision → value → system explanation, optimized for global clarity.
03
Visual Worldbuilding
Designed a futuristic conceptual visual language from zero assets: 500+ Illustrator components, system metaphors, flows, and hardware simulations.
04
Storyboard & Scene Design
Mapped 11 core scenes with transitions, system animations, and intro/outro identity.
05
Full Motion Production
Animated 70+ timeline layers in Camtasia Studio, composited 500–600 objects, synced sound, and designed pacing for comprehension.
06
Voice-over Performance
Recorded and mastered narration for clarity, neutrality, and professional tone.
06
Final Edit & Delivery
Completed sound design, motion polish, and exported final films for homepage, pitch decks, and presentations.
Context
Greenia, an early-stage deep-tech company in the blockchain hardware and IoT sector, was building NFT-enabled, blockchain-integrated devices at a time when Web3 was still emerging and widely misunderstood. With no physical prototypes and no established visual language for this category, the project had to introduce a futuristic hardware ecosystem entirely through motion graphics. The video needed to make complex blockchain concepts feel simple and intuitive, build credibility for the startup, and serve as both an investor tool and a public-facing introduction.
Challenge
Since no real hardware existed, the entire product world had to be visualized conceptually. Highly technical ideas needed to be reframed through clear metaphors for an audience unfamiliar with the category, while still staying accurate and globally accessible. With no reference points and a full production pipeline handled by one creator—from script to design, animation, VO, and final edit—the core challenge was turning invisible frontier technology into a clear, engaging, investor-ready narrative.
